What is this medicine for?
Welfil® 10/ 20 MG is indicated for adult men for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, that is, when a man cannot achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. Tadalafil has been shown to significantly improve the ability to achieve a firm erection of the penis necessary for sexual activity.
Welfil® 10/ 20 MG contains an active substance, tadalafil, which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. Following sexual stimulation, Welfil® 10/ 20 MG works by helping to relax the blood vessels of your penis, thus promoting blood flow. This results in an improvement in erection. Welfil® 10/ 20 MG will not help you if you do not have erectile dysfunction.
It is important to know that Welfil® 10/ 20 MG does not act if there is no sexual stimulation. You and your partner will have to engage in foreplay as you would if you were not taking medication for your erectile dysfunction.

Welfil® 10/ 20 MG tablets are intended for oral use in humans only. Swallow the tablet whole with a little water. The tablets can be taken with or without food.
The recommended starting dose is one 10 mg tablet to be taken before sexual activity. If the effect of this dose is too weak, your doctor may increase the dose to 20 mg of tadalafil.
Not all dosage recommendations can be envisaged with 10 mg tablets; tadalafil can also be available in 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 20 mg tablets. Not all dosages may be marketed.
You can take one Welfil® 10/ 20 MG tablet at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Welfil® 10/ 20 MG can remain effective for up to 36 hours after taking the tablet.
Do not take Welfil® 10/ 20 MG more than once a day.
The doses of 10 mg and 20 mg are intended to be used before the intended sexual activity and are not recommended for continuous daily use.
It is important to know that Welfil® 10/ 20 MG does not act if there is no sexual stimulation. You and your partner will have to engage in foreplay as you would if you were not taking medication for erectile dysfunction.
Taking alcohol can affect your ability to get an erection and temporarily lower your blood pressure. If you have taken or are planning to take Welfil® 10/ 20 MG, avoid drinking excessive alcohol (blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more), this may increase the risk of dizziness when moving to a standing position.
What are its possible adverse effects?
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, but not everybody gets them.
If you experience any of the following side effects, stop using the drug and consult your doctor immediately:
- allergic reactions, including skin rashes (uncommon) ;
- chest pain – do not use nitro derivatives but consult your doctor immediately (uncommon) ;
- priapism, prolonged and sometimes painful erections after taking Welfil® 10/ 20 MG (rare frequency). If you have such an erection that persists continuously for more than 4 hours, you should contact a doctor immediately ;
Other adverse reactions have been reported :
- Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people)
- Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
- Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
Rare cases of heart attack and stroke have also been reported in men taking tadalafil. Most of these men had known heart problems before taking this medication.
A partial, temporary or permanent loss or decrease in vision in one or both eyes has rarely been reported.
Some additional rare adverse reactions have been reported in men taking tadalafil that had not been observed in clinical trials. These adverse reactions are as follows:
The side effect of feeling dizzy has been reported more frequently in men over 75 years of age taking tadalafil. Diarrhea has been reported more frequently in men over the age of 65 taking Welfil® 10/ 20 MG tadalafil.
